A Boss DR-800 rendkívül sokoldalú, kis méretű házi stúdió.
Egyszerre négy sávon rögzíthetünk, valamint nyolc sávot játszhatunk le, továbbá egy külön sztereó sáv áll rendelkezésünkre a beépített ritmusok lejátszására. A BR-800 beépített effektjei között megtaláljuk a GT-10/GT-10B effekteket, a VE-20 ének effektjeit és ’Vocal Harmonist’-jét, valamint egy COSM alapú akusztikus gitártest modellezést is. Az EZ Recording funkció interaktív módon végigvezeti a felhasználót a felvételi műveletsoron. A BR-800 beépített sztereó mikrofonja segítségével, bármikor azonnal megkezdhetjük a felvételt (Song Sketch).
